Designing for Growth
As Sturdee Energy expanded into a larger office, the brief called for a workplace that balanced operational requirements with a strong expression of the company’s purpose. The space needed to foster transparency and collaboration while maintaining a clear connection to the organisation’s role in natural energy, creating a workplace that reflected its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Inspired by Nature
The interior design drew inspiration from the natural elements of earth, air, fire and water, informing a restrained palette of blue, grey, white and green complemented by timber accents. Glass shopfront partitions with subtle vinyl frosting preserved openness while introducing privacy where required. Bespoke wallpapers featuring the company’s wind farms and solar installations reinforced brand identity throughout the workspace, alongside patterned carpet tiles and understated finishes.
Delivering the Vision
Trend Group worked closely with the client through regular workshops and site visits, refining design concepts and material selections throughout the project. The completed workplace includes meeting rooms, an informal client lounge, three focus rooms, an open-plan work area and a private founders’ office. The result is a light, cohesive commercial interior that aligns the client’s mission with the everyday experience of the workplace.
