A Brief Built Around Character
Software development firm True North engaged Trend Group to design a new office that reflected their brand identity and commitment to hand-crafted, creative services. The goal was to move away from a generic corporate environment and build a space that communicates how the studio works and what it values. Trend Group was tasked with translating that philosophy into a coherent interior concept that would feel authentic rather than decorative.
Steampunk Meets Raw Industrial
The design draws on steampunk references combined with a raw industrial aesthetic to give the space a distinctive character. Oxidized metalwork, exposed piping, timber wall cladding, metal dividers, and varied surface textures create an atmosphere that feels workshop-inspired throughout. Faux planting introduces warmth against the harder materials without softening the overall mood. The reception area anchors the concept, with the True North logo laser cut into oxidized metal as the first thing visitors encounter on arrival.
Brand Identity Made Physical
The completed office reflects True North’s identity as a provider of individualized software solutions without relying on conventional corporate design. The space functions effectively as a working studio while communicating the brand’s values to employees and visitors alike. Trend Group delivered a fit-out that serves as both a productive workplace and a direct expression of the client’s character.
