A Collaborative Workspace
Trend Group was appointed to deliver the implementation and construction of Facebook’s new regional headquarters. The project represents an important milestone in deepening the company’s engagement across the continent and supporting its growing network of users.
Strict global standards guided every stage of the build, with a strong emphasis on acoustics, furniture specification, and security integration. Each element was executed with precision to ensure consistency with Facebook’s international guidelines.
Modern Design
Trend Group ensured that every detail of the project was carefully executed to align with Facebook’s operational requirements while preserving the integrity of its global design principles. The concept, developed by Boogertman Architects, introduced a refined balance between modern industrial design and authentic local cultural inspiration. Distinctive prints, patterns, and textures were incorporated throughout the interior, creating a space that celebrates cultural identity while maintaining a polished, contemporary aesthetic.
Connection as Brand Identity
The completed headquarters captures Facebook’s global character while honouring the spirit of its regional setting. It unites technology, creativity, and community through refined detailing and craftsmanship that reflects a sense of connection and purpose.
One of the most distinctive elements in the space is a large map of Africa that spans two levels and features a coloured cord installation linking various points across the continent to the wider world. This striking feature symbolises Facebook’s vision of global connectivity and stands as a reminder of the company’s growing investment in fostering meaningful connections throughout the region.
