Shaping The Experience
The brief required a single space to accommodate multiple functions — retail, café and testing kitchen — while maintaining a cohesive customer experience. The fit-out was coordinated to ensure each area operated seamlessly within the whole, remaining true to the original design intent throughout.
Simplicity In Execution
The completed interiors balance minimalism with moments of bold brand expression. Natural timber, concrete and white surfaces form the material foundation of the space, while integrated colours and bespoke details reinforce Okja’s distinctive identity. Open sightlines create a sense of flow throughout, and the café and testing kitchen sit naturally within the broader retail environment, creating a layered experience that encourages engagement in different ways.
Delivering Against Constraints
The project presented several complexities, including heritage-related requirements that required close coordination before construction could proceed. Once approvals were secured, Trend Group mobilised rapidly to deliver the fit-out within a two-month programme. Close collaboration between the client, design team and project stakeholders ensured alignment throughout delivery. The result is a cohesive brand destination that successfully translates the original vision into a built environment while demonstrating disciplined project management and fit-out expertise.
