Lionhead Capital

Luxury through smart design

Industry:
Financial & Professional Services
For investment firm Lionhead Capital, the new headquarters featured moody Scandinavian interiors and considered finishes in response to the client brief. Trend Group delivered the space through an integrated Design & Build solution, balancing a sophisticated aesthetic with smart material choices and efficient delivery. The result is a distinctive workspace that feels refined, layered and luxurious.

A distinctive design language

The interior combines a dark, contemporary aesthetic with the industrial character of the existing double-volume building. Lionhead Capital’s brand palette of deep green, brass, brown and black informed the design, creating a subtle connection to the company’s identity and its relationship with the mining sector. Textured finishes and modern detailing add depth, while natural light and lighter elements balance the darker palette and keep the workplace feeling open and welcoming.

Investment where it matters

Focusing on key elements for greatest impact on the finished space made best use of the project budget. Lighting, fluted glass and key feature surfaces – such as the green stone top of the coffee station – helped create atmosphere and visual interest. In other places smart alternatives like veneer achieved the desired aesthetic. The building’s industrial character, double-volume space and exposed beams were integrated into a refined workplace aesthetic.

Curated for character

New furniture was carefully selected to work alongside Lionhead Capital’s existing collection of vintage and characterful pieces, creating a layered and timeless workplace. Design Colab curated the FF&E with dark finishes, durable surfaces and select high-quality materials, introducing soft seating, servers, and planters to create distinct moments within the space. A dark wood boardroom table and refined seating complete the more formal spaces, while the considered mix of old and new keeps the workplace sophisticated and personal.

One team, faster delivery

Managing the project through a single Design & Build team allowed Trend Group to maintain alignment between design intent, budget and delivery. Decisions could be made efficiently throughout the process, helping move the project from design approval to practical completion in approximately seven weeks. Completed ahead of programme and within budget, Lionhead Capital demonstrates how an integrated approach can deliver a high-end workplace.
