The BBC commissioned Trend Group to design and build a state-of-the-art office ensuring compliance with global standards while incorporating local culture. This project, completed in just eight weeks, delivered a contemporary workspace that embodies both the BBC’s international influence and South African heritage.

Trend Group managed the entire office fit out, including space planning, construction, and furniture sourcing, using locally produced materials to meet tight deadlines. The design featured advanced acoustic treatments for broadcast areas, ergonomic workstations, high-spec lighting solutions, and integrated AV systems. To add an authentic touch, African textiles such as Shwe-Shwe were incorporated into the interiors.

The reception area and main boardroom emerged as focal points, blending functionality with cultural aesthetics. Following the project’s success, the BBC entrusted Trend Group with additional work.
