Flexible Workspace Solutions
The new headquarters for this global management consulting firm goes beyond pure functionality, telling a story inspired by the city’s vibrant spirit. The office design needed to reflect the firm’s global brand identity while celebrating its local context. Central to this vision is the symbolic staircase, which features a tree at its core; a powerful representation of the city’s strength, gold mining heritage, and the seamless blending of regional and global excellence.
Bespoke Office Details, Local Craft
Working alongside HK Studio, known for creating immersive environments, this partnership resulted in a space that feels both innovative and deeply connected to the city’s vibrant character. The design emphasises flexibility and adaptability to support evolving work styles, offering a balance between collaborative areas and spaces for focus. This ensures the workplace remains relevant and functional as ways of working continue to change.
The space fosters a strong sense of belonging and purpose and is inspired by local history and the allure of gold. It celebrates the city’s cosmopolitan energy, inclusivity, and creative spirit. Local artists, furniture makers, and galleries contributed bespoke pieces and artworks, strengthening the office’s authentic connection to it’s localised identity.
Public Spaces and Canteen
The office is designed as a carefully curated journey, where moments of surprise and touches of the exotic are revealed through thoughtful details. At its heart is the canteen, a showcase of design talent featuring handcrafted furniture and bespoke wall tiles. The public areas are warm and characterful, blending timeless elegance with contemporary style and playful accents.
With an impressive 80% of the furnishings and fittings sourced locally, this bespoke environment celebrates ambition, authenticity, and inclusivity. It tells the story of unique spirit, combining depth and sophistication with a sense of playfulness to create a workspace that is both functional and deeply human.
