Trend Group was tasked by PayFast, a key player in online transactions, to design their new office environment. The core challenge was to unite three distinct companies within the DPO Group into one cohesive, unified entity, fostering a singular, dynamic culture.The project successfully integrated these diverse office cultures through thoughtful layouts and finishes.

Client-facing areas were designed with a more formal aesthetic, utilizing warm timbers and inviting tones to create a welcoming yet professional atmosphere for high-end clientele, while clearly maintaining PayFast’s brand identity. In contrast, the open-plan office was envisioned as a vibrant, playful environment to encourage employee interaction and rejuvenation. Bright pops of colour were strategically incorporated to divide workstations, complemented by dedicated breakaway zones for focused work and collaboration. Flexibility in furniture and space dividers was prioritized to accommodate future growth and evolving needs.

The new office now fosters a diverse range of activities and moods, meticulously tailored to the functionality of each area. By integrating distinct zones—from quiet focus areas to lively collaborative hubs—Trend Group ensured the workspace promotes both individual productivity and seamless team interaction, significantly enhancing the overall workplace culture for PayFast
