A Welcoming Workspace
PPS sought a corporate headquarters that would combine the authority of a financial institution with the warmth of a close-knit employee community. Trend Group was engaged to deliver a considered office design for their new 4,200m² headquarters in Newlands, Cape Town – a space where clients feel welcomed and staff feel at home.
The project called for a thoughtful, people-focused approach, ensuring the workplace reflected the diverse needs of teams while remaining professional, aspirational, and approachable.
Quality Office Finishes
Trend Group was tasked with the full end-to-end design and fit-out, collaborating closely with the PPS leadership team from the outset. Through detailed consultations with department heads, the team developed a professional workspace that meets the practical and cultural needs of the organisation. Drawing from PPS’s brand identity, the design balances the corporate palette with organic materials. Warm timber finishes, abundant greenery, and generous external views create a grounded environment.
The team also coordinated closely with the landlord’s professionals to align timelines, navigate adjustments, and maintain quality throughout delivery. Sustainability was incorporated wherever possible, including LED lighting, motion sensors, water-saving fittings, and locally sourced furniture that reinforces PPS’s commitment to community upliftment.

Supporting Well-being
The completed corporate campus delivers a workplace that is both professional and welcoming, supporting a culture of belonging. Soaring volumes in the client-facing areas are balanced by a cosy coffee bar and acoustic design for a calm atmosphere. Bespoke boardrooms and training rooms are designed for comfort and effective collaboration. Thoughtful layering of finishes – brass and natural stone alongside polished concrete and timber – reflects the technical yet relational nature of financial services.
Employees benefit from a member-centric design that prioritizes well-being and convenience. Amenities include a fully equipped gym, a cafeteria fostering social connection, a wellness room accommodating personal health and breastfeeding needs, and a purpose-built multifaith room. The rooftop balcony offers informal spaces for meetings or breaks, with sweeping views over the surrounding area.
