Rooting the Design to Place
Trend Group was commissioned to deliver a 1 750 sqm office fit-out for the global law firm Pinsent Masons. Designed by Paragon Interface, the scheme embodies the firm’s international brand while incorporating subtle local character.
The resulting workspace is sophisticated and culturally enriched, seamlessly combining Pinsent Masons’ global corporate identity with a distinct aesthetic. Featuring art, textures, and design details, the office offers a modern, flexible layout with a welcoming client-facing floor, private offices, and collaborative open-plan areas.
Functional Space that Inspires
The office design embraces agile working, with open-plan, bookable desks, collaborative zones, and pause areas positioned along the perimeter to maximise panoramic views. Focus rooms, enclosed booths, and service spaces are grouped around the building core, creating a flexible environment that maintains privacy and acoustic control for confidential work.
A feature mural by local artist “I Do” injects colour and energy into the pause area, while African-inspired textures appear in rugs, wallpapers, and artworks throughout. Timber panelling, flooring, and furniture add warmth to the otherwise pared-back corporate aesthetic and muted colour scheme.

Top Collaborators and Suppliers
Trend Group’s scope included installing JEB Summit and X-Series shopfront systems, complete with operable walls and all internal partitions. For the furniture, Design CoLab supplied and sourced everything as locally made. Despite a tight schedule, the project was delivered efficiently and to a high standard, thanks to strong collaboration between the design and implementation teams and a smooth decision-making process with the client.
