In 2019, WeWork, a leading shared workspaces company, expanded its global footprint by establishing locations in South Africa. Partnering with the design team at Paragon, Trend Group was tasked with delivering a fit-out that adhered to WeWork’s international design standards, focusing on communal areas, flexible desking, meeting spaces, and other essential components of their workspace offerings.

Trend Group faced tight deadlines across all three locations, necessitating after-hours work, weekends, and night shifts to ensure a swift and efficient launch. The interior design featured an industrial aesthetic infused with African cultural elements, creating a cohesive look and feel throughout the offices. Authentically local, each communal space was enhanced with artwork and designs from local artists and vendors, further enriching the environment. This successful collaboration not only met WeWork’s operational timeline but also established vibrant and culturally resonant workspaces in South Africa.
